Overview
In this role you will be a strategic senior product manager reporting directly to the senior director and acting as their deputy. You’ll also be a tactical product owner. You will work directly with customers, develop product strategy and manage both the customer-facing aspects of product management as well as grooming the backlog, planning sprints and answering questions so that the software development team understands what they’re building and why.
Responsibilities
Conduct market research
Develop a deep understanding of the business, products, market and user base by analyzing internal and external data.
Translate analytical insights into product strategy, vision and roadmap.
Translate customer needs into epics and user stories and ensure that these are clear to the development team
Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams particularly with the development, product design and marketing teams.
Cultivate relationships with customers and partners
Identify significant long-term opportunities based on research, analysis and a strategic view of the direction of the market. Oversee the conducting of market assessments and competitive analysis for the product portfolio area.
Actively participate in the creation of the product release, with the responsibility to translate the strategic vision and planning into story requirements for engineering teams to execute in the release iteration sprints.
Collaborating and leading sessions with customers to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
Lead a product development team by owning sprint planning, set sprint goals, backlog prioritization, daily scrum meetings, sprint review meetings and retrospectives
Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure our customers are excited and understand how to take advantage of everything in the assigned product portfolio
Ensure alignment amongst all departments. Identify disconnects and takes appropriate action

Requirements
8+ years of Product Manager / Product Owner experience with SaaS products
Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies
SaaS product management experience including having taken one or more SaaS products to the market
Proven Ability and past experience defining requirements/needs, roadmap a product feature – develop the technical requirements and then drive execution – completion A-Z of large product features
Experience leading and mentoring other Product Managers / Product Owners
Experience working directly with developers in an agile/scrum team and driving completion
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead, large, complex projects from concept to delivery and continuous improvement
User-driven approach embodied in past work
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to stay on top of multiple work streams at once while hitting deadlines.
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with business and technical teams as well as with executives
Solid ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients and partners
Creative problem solver who is willing to dive in wherever is needed
A self-starter with the ability to deal with ambiguity and requiring little guidance
Lead and mentor team members
Software Development background
Nice to Have:
Scrum Product Owner, Product Manager or Scrum Master Certification
Healthcare or CRM / ERP software experience
