Overview

If you’re both a marketing manager and a professional writer, the new Sycle Marketing Manager role offers the perfect opportunity to blend what you enjoy. The role owns powering up our content and sales tool development, social media, and SEO programs. As a leader in the audiology space, Sycle’s client base includes a majority of the market and key enterprise leaders. A major focus will also be establishing and managing a formal customer engagement and retention program.

Day-to-day responsibilities include both program management and hands-on execution. A background in B2B marketing and professional level writing skills are essential.  An ability to collaborate with others, define needs, and execute will be critical as well as strong follow-up skills and attention to detail. 

The manager works with outside contractors and agencies. To share program status and results, solid presentation skills are important. B2B experience with technology companies is required. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a content strategy to support demand generation, social media, and brand needs. Includes writing content and creating through contractors.

  • Manage and create the majority of copy for the department through direct execution or through our network of outside copywriters. Includes email campaigns, landing pages, short-form and long-form content (from posts to survey reports), sales tools, presentations, and other areas as needed

  • Create a dynamic, consistent social media program with an emphasis on LinkedIn. A secondary focus includes Facebook and X.

  • Assess, develop, and execute a fresh approach to Sycle’s SEO program focusing on search phrases, organic, and website implementation. Work with an outside agency. 

  • Build a marketing program for customer retention to reinforce value, announce new releases, and create a sense of community

  • Support and create excitement around product launches

  • Track and manage projects in Asana. Helps maintain the marketing calendar

  • Report on key metrics and project status

  • Provides alerts and updates to stakeholders to build excitement around marketing 

  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Required Experience

  • 5-7 years in a B2B role with a technology/SaaS company.

  • 5-7 years experience managing and executing marketing programs and communicating results.

  • A highly experienced writer who has managed a content program and can create different forms of marketing copy (demand generation, content, sales tools, etc.)

  • A background in managing social media. Familiarity with SEO and working with a web agency.

  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar system (Eloqua, Pardot, Salesforce).

  • Experience creating and executing marketing programs

  • Professional writer who can create copy from scratch and can direct/edit/coach outside writers

  • An understanding of marketing metrics and previous experience creating, assembling, and reporting results

  • Experience creating strong partnerships with the sales and product teams. Enjoys collaboration.

  • Familiar with basic graphic design concepts to provide direction and guide contractors to follow best practices and align with the brand.

  • Strong project and time management skills with flexibility to adapt to a fast-moving, changing environment.

  • Strong communicator who can present programs, results, and business cases for technology.

  • Problem-solving attitude. Approaches challenges with positivity, proactively identifies issues, and offers thoughtful and viable solutions.

  • Demonstrated reliability, integrity, honesty, and respect for others and their work.

Required Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
